Sending gifts to children or families in Ukraine is no longer a viable option for us as a result of a new government supported policy that went into effect in December 2008.

Custom officials now require $50 US  dollars to be paid for every parcel or package entering their country.

 This new policy effectively puts a hault on sending gifts to the children and families regestered in our sponsorship program.

 The new government regulation applies to all charities working in Ukraine.

Our Field Manager has worked with government officials to plead our cause, without success.

As a reminder, sponsors can still send cards, letters and stickers to their child or family.
