Children in Ukraine

June 3rd, 2010

Of Ukraine’s nine million children some 65,000 live in state-run children’s institutions such as orphanages, boarding schools and shelters. Family poverty, unemployment, alcoholism and drug use are the main reasons for children being abandoned. Thousands of children also choose to run away from violence in their homes. They find refuge on the streets where they run the risk of contracting tuberculosis and HIV through injecting drugs. Many children leave home because they have been left to fend for themselves while their parents have migrated abroad to find work. Despite the government’s efforts to prevent child abandonment and create foster care within the community, the number of children in institutions has doubled in the past ten years. Summer Camp

June 3rd, 2010

Dear friends, just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have sent in support for our summer camp program. Be sure to check out the camp video under “video” on the left side of this screen. Thank you for keeping the children and the staff in your prayers. If you haven’t had time to send in your gift of support for the camp ministry, there is still time. God Bless

Fifty Years of Ministry Jubilee Project

February 12th, 2010

Dear friends, this year (2010) Mission Without Borders will be celebrating our Jubilee, that is 50 years of ministry to Eastern Europe. In celebration of this milestone we would like to send one million Bibles to the men, women and children who cannot afford one for themselves. This is an exciting new project and in keeping with our original purpose when our organization was founded under the name of Underground Evangelism 50 years ago. Each Bible cost just $6.00 dollars - and what a marvelous investment in Kingdom work. Please call, write or Donate Now to let us know how many Bibles you are willing to purchase for the advancement of the Gospel. Thank you ever so much. God Bless You!
