The Caruntu family resides in the Chisinau area of Moldova.

Parents Maxim and Anna are raising Igor (9), Arina (6) and baby Nichita in a rented 2 room apartment. Igor finds occasional work and that income is all the family is currently surviving on which isn’t sufficient to cover their needs. 

Anna used to have a hairdresser job but is now on maternity leave. They hope that Maxim will have more orders for work. They are a warm, close family that are trying to encourage each other during this difficult time they are facing.

Igor, who suffers from asthma is in grade 3. 

By sponsoring the Caruntu family you will be helping provide monthly care packages of food, household, hygiene supplies, as well as practical support and assistance to create opportunities to improve their situation.

With the family participating in Mission Without Borders' family sponsorship program the children have after-school programs available to them as well as the opportunity to take part in summer camps and other programs.
