The Stanescu family lives in the Neamt area of Romania.

Parents Gheorghe and Nadia are raising son Octavian (16) and daughters Izabela (13), Lorena (10) and Miruna (8) in a home with only a bedroom and kitchen. The children are clean and well taken care of.

The children all do very well in school, but the family has a hard time providing the necessary supplies. The family relies on limited state social benefits for income as neither parent can find steady employment.
