The Hanganu family lives in the Neamt area of Romania.

Viorel and Gianina are raising their sons Viorel (13), Ionut (12) and daughters Narcisa (9), Laura (6) and Denisa (6) in a two-room house. The conditions in the community are poor, but the household is well cared for.

Viorel is unable to work as he has a herniated disc, so their income comes from limited state social benefits.
