The conflict that began in eastern Ukraine in 2014 has devastated the region, killing over 10,300 people and displacing 1.5 million. A once industrially productive region has been plunged into ruin. Lately, tension in the region has been escalating – with fears that a new conflict will erupt. Mission Without Borders is supporting individuals, families and elderly people living in poverty in Donetsk oblast, providing much-needed spiritual and material support.
Mykola Bogdanets, our country director in Ukraine, said, “In eastern Ukraine, people continue to live in constant fear and anxiety. Their only hope is that the war would be over one day so they could return to their normal way of life. Unfortunately, the devastation continues – especially in the areas close to the front line – and the constant shelling continues, bringing more distress and sorrow."
“Into this dark emotional and spiritual atmosphere, our ministry in Mission Without Borders is like a rescue beacon. People receive not only material aid, but also our spiritual and emotional support, which is an even greater need there."
Your donation will help reach more individuals and families in Eastern Ukraine. Let them know they are not alone and there is hope!
