Get ready to take the first step!
The Mission Without Borders Winter Walk Challenge is your opportunity to challenge yourself to stay active while experiencing a little of what families across Eastern Europe MWB works with deal with every winter as they strive to keep food on the table and heat their homes.
The winter months in Eastern Europe can be brutally cold, and sometimes people are forced to decide what they can afford food, rent, or heat. This is often the case with many of the seniors we help as they stretch everything to make ends meet but still can't afford wood or oil to heat their homes.
By taking this first step and participating in the Winter Walk Challenge you will help raise awareness of MWB's work in Eastern Europe here in Canada. Your fundraising will help the families we serve build brighter futures for themselves.
Don't be fooled - this is not designed to be a walk in the park. Committing to walk 2 km a day every day in January OUTSIDE, no matter what the weather, will take commitment and perseverance.
